A 17-panel Enphase microinverter system installed on a concrete tile roof, with a Level 2 EV charger added for overnight vehicle charging.
Concrete tile roofs need a different mounting approach than composition shingle — tile hooks and flashing have to be set without cracking tiles or compromising the roof's water seal. Our crew specializes in tile roof installs and used tile-specific mounts to keep this system watertight for the long term.
We chose Enphase microinverters for this project so that each of the 17 panels performs and reports independently — if one panel is ever shaded or underperforming, it doesn't drag down the rest of the array the way a single string inverter setup would.
The homeowner added a Level 2 EV charger in the same project, wired to run primarily off daytime solar production so their vehicle charges on power the roof is already generating.
